Villeneuve d’Aveyron, 7 km, is an exceptionally pretty village with cobbled streets, ancient buildings, and a good range of daily shops, restaurants, bars, and galleries. Greater choice of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, bike hire, summer events and excellent Thursday market 20 min drive at Villefranche-de-Rouergue situated on the river Aveyron. Stunning scenery is easy to find in this interesting area including the limestone cliffs of the river Lot, with picturesque St Cirq-Lapopie, 50 min drive, offering artisan shops and the famous Pech-Merle caves well worth a small detour a few km further. A drive to the south will show you the gorges of the river Aveyron, and you should not miss visiting hilltop Najac with its craft shops and lovely castle. International airports Rodez 50 km/Toulouse 136 km.
