Just a 10 min walk into the fashionable St Rémy de Provence, a historic town with extensive Roman ruins. This picturesque and lively town has an array of shops, restaurants and cafés; the bustling weekly market for wonderful, local produce is not to be missed. Avignon, a 15 min drive, is a stunning town with the majestic Papal palace which overlooks the lively square. Pretty, ancient streets are a pleasure to wander round with a plethora of restaurants, cafés and shops. Also to be visited is the Pont d’Avignon, the lovely bridge with just 4 arches remaining. Nîmes, 45 km, is over 2000 years old and houses a C4th BC church and Roman amphitheatre; this charming town is well worth a visit. International airport: Nîmes 50 km.
Beautiful villa set in a quiet, peaceful residential area. The lovely garden, completely enclosed by hedges is planted with olive trees, oleander and lavender and is accessed via electric entry gates. Large swimming pool 13 x 6 x 1.4–2m depth has an electric security roll cover. Plenty of space for enjoying a sunny climate available on the terrace area with outdoor furniture. Beautiful views beyond the cypress tree at the end of the garden, looking toward the craggy peaks of the Alpilles hills. BBQ, pool side shower and table tennis also available.
This villa has been renovated to a high standard and decorated with a lovely mix of Provençal and modern art pieces, built on a single storey and is spacious and light throughout. Entry is onto the stunning living/dining room with 25 ft high ceilings, pine beams and large glass windows with wonderful views over the garden, pool and beyond. There is plenty of comfortable seating in the form of a corner sofa, TV, corner open fire. DVD and CD player. Provençal antique dining table and benches. A metal staircase leads to the attic (not for clients'' use). Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave and small breakfast table. Bed 1: double, french doors opening onto terrace, ensuite bath/WC. Bed 2: double. Bed 3: double. These share a shower room. Sep WC. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. Outside access to utility room with washing machine. Heating on request. Linen changed once a week and cleaning included once a week.
