Praia d’El Rey is a 600-acre resort set on the cliff tops overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. With its own magnificent championship 18-hole golf course, set in extensive grounds of pine forest and undulating dunes with spectacular views over the Ocean, Praia d’El Rey also offers many other sports facilities, while those who prefer to relax may indulge in the range of holistic and beauty treatments on offer at the resort’s Atlantic Coast spa. Tee times maybe booked at reception and green fees vary from €23 to €43, depending on the season. Praia d’El Rey overlooks the dramatic Berlengas Islands, sitting off-shore and considered amongst the best diving locations in Portugal, while many of the nearby beaches offer great surfing. The medieval town of Obidos is easily reached by car, whilst Lisbon and the university city of Coimbra are approx 90 min drive.

There is plenty on offer for those seeking neither strenuous activity nor pampering, with beautiful scenery, excellent sightseeing and pristine, unspoilt beaches within easy driving distance. The resort itself boasts a new 5 star Marriott Hotel, with restaurants, shops and bars on site and the Clubhouse, with panoramic views over the golf course serves a selection of food and drinks all day in the lounge or terrace.

A range of townhouses and apartments are on offer at Praia d’El Rey, with a number of swimming pools scattered around the resort’s accommodation to ensure that there is always a quiet corner to hideaway and relax. For those preferring more privacy, there are some villas with private pools. All accommodation is modern in design, recently built and furnished and equipped to a high standard. All kitchens are equipped with full cookers, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and all accommodation has satellite or cable TV and CD player. The villas and townhouses have built-in BBQs, private balconies or terraces and all gardens and pools are well-cared for. Please note this is a large estate and not all amenities are within walking distance of all accommodation. A complimentary welcome pack is provided for all clients on arrival.
