This beautiful holiday home is full of atmosphere. It has a private swimming pool and is surrounded by high oak trees and lush Mediterranean foliage. The home is around 3 kilometres outside the centre of Bedarieux and above a chalk plateau. It is in a shady spot of almost 3 hectares. The house is called Mont Joia which means Mountain of Joy in old French and Catalan. The gite is attractively furnished and offers all modern conveniences. You can enjoy the private heated swimming pool with jetstream. You can swim against the jetstream or let it massage you. You can cook outside in the outdoor kitchen beside the swimming pool. The area is excellent for mountain walks, visiting various medieval villages and swimming and rafting on the river.
You can also enjoy the many gastronomical specialities of the region. Food is served a la ferme in many restaurants in delightful locations. Oysters in Meze with a Picpoul de Pinet are a feast. In summer, there are lots of festivals, including music festivals, in the area.
