Situated in the Montagne Noir at the gateway to the Languedoc National Park - an area of outstanding beauty with rivers, lakes and mountains. The Pic de Nore, the highest point of the Montagne Noir is just outside of the town - the rounded summit provides a fantastic panoramic vista. Baker and small restaurant is 3 min drive away in Pont-de Larn. More shops and facilities in St Baubille.5km from the bustling market town of Mazamet with its twice weekly markets and supermarkets. Walking trails close by as well as golf course and horse riding centre. Spectacular canyoning less than ten min drive with white water descents - active kids love it! Further kayaking and forest adventures (zip wires etc) 40 km. Beautiful lake nearby with beach, restaurant and scenic views. Medieval hillside village of Hautpol within a few min drive of the house. Delightful Castres with Goya museum 19 km. Carcassonne and its walled old city 52 km must not be missed where in July and August fabulous medieval jousting tournaments take place. Nearest beach is one and a half hours away with scenic drive and vineyards to visit on the way. Beach at Valras 96km. International airports: Toulouse 99 km/Carcassonne 52 km. Also possibly Mazamet/Castres 16 km in 2009 with flights from Manchester and Dublin.

Charming French colonial style bungalow with own forest, new tennis court (Clients must bring their own racquets and balls for use on the tennis court) and golf course style lawns for active fun. Small shallow stream (fenced off from main property). The gardens used to be a 4 hole golf course built by past owner and golf enthusiast who designed the nearby course. Private saline pool 13 x 6m with fully automated security cover and roman steps. Sweeping drive way with electric gates. Outdoor children’s play equipment. BBQ.
