Village of Gindou has annual performing arts festival with a week of open-air cinema in August. The pretty market town of Cazals, 6 min drive, has restaurants, bars, supermarket, tennis, weekly market and swimming lake with sandy beach. Historic town of Cahors with medieval towered bridge, enchanting old quarter, excellent market, good range of shops and restaurants and wine tasting, around 35 min drive. Attractive perched riverside villages of Domme and St Cirq Lapopie and spectacular pilgrimage centre of Rocamadour are all within 1 hour drive and make for an interesting day out. Good walking along country tracks from the house to nearby Les Arques for Zadkine painting, sculpture museum and well-known restaurant. Canoeing at Cénac or Puy l’Evêque, both around 30 min drive, with choice of 3 golf courses within 60 km radius. International airport: Toulouse 140 km.
