Situated in the quaint picturesque village of Berneuil and just 12 km from the bustling town of Barbezieux. Boulangerie 3km and nearest restaurant is 8km. Lots to do in the area including horse riding or canoeing down the River Dronne, where an 8km canoe down the river followed by lunch at a local village restaurant is a must. . Try fishing in the man made lake nearby where you can fish to your hearts content and just pay for the catch. Numerous festivals and local fetes throughout the year. Nestling in the heart of the countryside this beautiful Farmhouse with adjacent barns has been completely restored to offer guests a haven of comfort and luxury and is a wonderful setting for a family reunion. Accommodation is divided between the Farmhouse and Barn and form part of the courtyard setting which at the height of summer is surrounded by vines, maize and sunflowers. The helpful English owners live in a separate independent section of the property. The farmhouse is set amidst five acres of grounds with swings, a slide, trampoline, and lots of room to play football, boules or badminton. Two pools, one is completely private and enclosed, 9 x 5 x 1-1.5m depth with outdoor eating area for 20 people and surrounded by delightful Mediterranean gardens and gazebo area. The second pool is accessed from the lounge in the Barn or from the courtyard, and has eating area as well as a jet stream to swim against the current. This pool has roman steps 8 x 4 x 1-1.5m depth and is shared with the owners and family. The Jacuzzi and sauna are also a great way to relax.

At certain times of the year the Farmhouse may be rented on its own at reduced rates for up to 10 people. At all other times both Farmhouse and the Barn are available. The Farmhouse comprises a huge lounge/dining area for 20 people with large comfortable sofas and antique furniture. CD/DVD, plasma TV. Internet access is available. French door to private pool area. Well equipped, large kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, large American style fridge and washing machine. Bed 1: double with ensuite bathroom/WC. Stairs to first floor.
