Situated just 6kms from Belvès with shops, restaurants and Saturday morning markets. It was once of strategic importance, encircled by ramparts on a promontory above the Nauze valley and bristling with seven towers - even the central square is called “place des Armes”! In the ramparts are the Troglodyte houses once the dwelling of families and animals alike between the 12th and 17th centuries. There are a few restaurants just a few min drive at Soirac and if by chance you are here the second half of July there is Bach Festival. A short drive will take you to Cadouin with it’s Abbey, Castelnaud and Beynac châteaux. The medieval town of Sarlat is 40km. The area is ideal for those enjoying walking. International airport: Bergerac 50km.

The property is situated in St Foy de Belvès which is a sleepy little hamlet. Converted barn with pretty views over the rolling hills. Covered parking and an open terrace with a built in BBQ. Private swimming pool with security alarm 12 x 6 x 1-2m depth and even an area to play “Boules”.

Property has retained much of the original layout, adding simple style and comfort to the authentic charm of this attractive beamed and stone walled house. Entrance to the property via the living/dining room with comfortable sofa. Country style kitchen with dishwasher and microwave. French windows leading to terrace. Washing machine in laundry room off kitchen. Bed 1: double with ensuite shower and basin. Sep WC. Stairs off the living room lead to first floor. Bed 2: 2 singles. Bed 3: 2 singles.
