Accommodation overview: Shoremeadow, extensively refurbished for 2011, is set 150 metres from a beautiful, secluded sandy beach and enjoys a idyllic position in this tranquil south western corner of the Lakes where the mountains meet the sea.The cottage is a two minute drive from the peaceful village of Silecroft. It has stunning westerly views over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man and easterly views to Blackcoombe Fell. It is an ideal base for families to relax and have fun on Silecroft beach or explore the western lakes and fells. Silecroft lies in the quiet South Eastern corner of the Lake District National Park nestling between the sea and Black Coombe. Wordsworth described the area as "where the mountains meet the sea". The fabulous and challenging Black Coombe can be tackled by walking from the front door, the other lakes and mountains are only a short scenic drive away.
