The garden is a real feature of the house. Known as the Image Garden, it is laid out in Italianate style and is full of statues and sculptures created by a previous owner in the early 19th Century - the multitalented Thomas Bland, artist, poet, composer and scientist. Every year they held a garden party for up to 1400 people to celebrate the accession of Queen Victoria. The property can accommodate up to 15 people, ideal for large family gatherings or walking parties. Reagill is a delightful village situated in the unspoilt Eden Valley. This area is probably Cumbrias best-kept secret, with picture postcard villages and beautiful rolling countryside. It is ideal for walking and cycling and offers fishing on the Eden. Nearby attractions include Brougham Castle, Acorn Bank house and gardens, Rheged Discovery centre and Wetheriggs Pottery. Reagill is easily accessible from the M6 and just a stones throw from The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Scottish Borders.
