Also nearby is the picturesque village of Blakeney, where narrow streets slope down to the tidal creek, and which offers sailing and beautiful coastal and marshland walks. The well-stocked village shop is a legendary village institution, as are the excellent butcher, gift shop and pub with its own micro-brewery.

The Flowerpot is a cosy single-storey hideaway, peacefully tucked away at the end of the owner's immaculate little vegetable garden. The accommodation is comfortable and has period furniture, together with laden bookshelves. There are views across the garden walls to the spectacular Priory ruins in the fields beyond. The rural village of Plumstead is set amidst lovely countryside in an unspoilt part of North Norfolk. It is an ideal location for a relaxing break, with excellent walking, cycling and bird watching in the area. The coastal town of Sheringham is just six miles away and there are numerous places to visit close by. There is a shop and public house one and a half miles away and further wonderful shops, pubs and restaurants are to be found in Holt and Aylsham, which are five miles away.

The following three properties (424, 425, 426) have been converted from outbuildings in the grounds of the owner's home. They provide comfortable accommodation and are in a lovely peaceful position with views across farmland. The owners also have provision for a maximum of five touring caravans to be accommodated in the adjoining field - this area is screened from the cottages and in no way detracts from their peaceful situation.

The Orchard is a detached skilfully converted barn. It is all on one level and offers very attractive accommodation with views across the orchard to the open farmland beyond. Shop/Pub: 1.5 miles

Ludham is a pretty Broadland village between Wroxham and Potter Heigham. The village has a splendid flint church, shops and pubs. There are excellent walks in the area including nearby How Hill. Norwich and Great Yarmouth are both 30 minutes drive away. Boat enthusiasts will enjoy the sight of one of the last remaining wherries as well as the Heritage Sailing Fleet based at Womack Staithe.

Bakers Cottage is a charming Grade II listed building dating back to the 1800s. It has been renovated to provide modern facilities, whilst retaining its olde world charm, including driftwood beams that were found on the beach at Great Yarmouth. The tiny back door leads out on to the pretty south-facing decked area, the perfect place to relax after a day spent enjoying this beautiful part of Norfolk. Shops/Pub: walking distance

Strumpshaw is midway between Norwich and Great Yarmouth; it is situated on the highest area of land in the Norfolk Broads, but its main claim to fame is as the home of the RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen. Here you may see marsh harriers gliding over the reed beds or hear the booming of a bittern. The village is also the home of Strumpshaw Hall Steam Museum which is well worth a visit. The beaches of the east coast are a short drive away or you can jump on a train from the neighbouring village of Lingwood and enjoy a day exploring the lovely city of Norwich.

The area is also superb for bird and nature lovers with Titchwell and Heacham reserves a short distance away. The Royal Estate at Sandringham is approximately five miles away as are the wide sandy beaches of Hunstanton and Brancaster.

Eves Cottage sits in the centre of the village and is attached to the owner's own home. The duck pond is one of the counties most photographed and is almost on the doorstep.
