Boats and canoes are available for hire nearby at Wayford Bridge, Wroxham and Potter Heigham and The Museum of the Broads at nearby Stalham Staithe is well worth a visit. A little further afield you can explore the beautiful beaches of the Norfolk coast or the vibrant cathedral city of Norwich where you will find a huge selection of places to eat, theatres and galleries.

1 & 2 Brick Kiln Barns are two charming single storey adjoining cottages based on the footprint of an ancient brick moulding barn in the pretty village of Dilham. They stand to the rear of the owner's property overlooking open farmland; the area is perfect for bird watching with several RSPB reserves in the vicinity. Guests are welcome to relax on the lawns and you can use the canoe launching site into a quiet branch of the River Ant, however the fishing rights are reserved for the local kingfishers and the occasional otter. Shop: 4 miles Pub: 0.1 miles

The Bittern and national rail line are accessible from the village and from here you can access Norwich, Sheringham and Cromer and enjoy the opportunity of leaving the car behind. The village is well placed for ornithologists with the excellent reserves at Titchwell and Snettisham. The Peddars Way trail offers excellent off-road cycling and walking opportunities and the historic port of King's Lynn is just ten miles away.

Accommodation overview: Weybourne is a pretty village on the North Norfolk coast. Bourne Cottage is situated in the centre of the village and offers attractive accommodation. Close by you will find the Georgian market town of Holt and National Trust properties at Felbrigg.

Weybourne is a village of flint cottages and winding roads, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a shingle beach, and there is a cliff-top walk, which leads you to the sandy beach at Sheringham just three miles away. The village is famous for being home to the Muckleburgh Military Collection, which is well worth a visit. There are many other opportunities for days out in the area for young and old alike and there are a number of excellent golf courses within easy reach. The village itself has a shop and pub, which serves food.

Bourne Cottage is an attractive 300 year old flint cottage set in a peaceful area, next to a stream within the conservation area of Weybourne. The property is well equipped and there is a pretty enclosed cottage garden. There are many walks from the village and you could leave the car at home and use the Coast Hopper bus service which stops in the village or take a ride on a steam train into Sheringham or Holt.
