Accommodation overview: Graces Cottage is warm and welcoming. Nestling in a backwater of this delightful village at the head of the Dove Valley famous for its great scenery and Hartington Cheese. This lovely limestone cottage is over 200 years old and retains many of its original features, including oak beams, wooden flooring and exposed stonework and flagged floors. The cottage accommodation is upside down with the living area on the first floor and the bedrooms on the ground floor. You can relax in the patio area outside taking in the beautiful views or there is a field at the back for children to play safely. Wander round the village with its duck pond, village green shops and pubs. The Olde Cheese shop sells the famous handmade Hartington Stilton. It is an ideal base to explore the Peak District.

The cottage is located in the old town of Glossop and has views from the rear of the property over to Shelf Moor, which contains over 50 crash sites dating back to the second world war. Old Glossop is a quaint village steeped in history with several period buildings with the old market cross still visible to this day. Manor Park is a stones throw away, as well as three local pubs offering real ale and traditional fare. The local shops and restaurants are less than a mile away. The area has an abundance of walks, cycle routes and horse riding paths including Longdendale Trail, Pennine way, Crowden and Derwent reservoir made famous by the Dambusters.
