Accommodation
A superb example of our English heritage, Underfield Cottage sits within the Underfield Estate, Greenodd, only 8 miles from Coniston and within 5 miles of Fell Foot, Windermere. Built in 1646, the cottage displays a wealth of architectural detail including exposed beams, intricate panelling and stone mullion windows, all protected under Grade II star status.Set in over 40 acres of woodland, the grounds offer the opportunity to be at one with nature, the ancient rhoddedendrons creating a wash of colour across the landscape intermingled with well established trees and shrubs, the lower stems of which attract local deer and other native wildlife. With a variety of places to enjoy a picnic or simply to sit and take in the beautiful surroundings, this really is a place to relax and unwind and if you are feeling energetic, then feel free to have a game of tennis on the full size courts, available to guests from 3pm onwards.
