Staveley is a rather quiet and laid back village, approximately 5 miles south of Windermere and an ideal location for both walkers, cyclists and families alike. The village sits at the foot of the Kentmere Valley so offers some superb scenery and a delightful backdrop. The village, which is mostly on the flat, has a surprising number of facilities for all of your party with a large cycle hire outlet, an excellent childrens play area, The Roundhouse Theatre for those art lovers among you and, of course, several excellent pubs serving homemade food and local ales.
