The town of Lismore is 1.5 miles away with shops, bars and restaurants and a visit to the castle is enjoyable as is the half hour trip to the seaside town of Dungarvan, the crystal factor in Waterford city, Ballymaloe cookery school the Jameson distillary to name but a few attractions in the area.
